Meaning-
The pure consciousness like thoughts and feelings of a wise person gets covered by the Enemy called ‘Lust'. It can never be satisfied as we keep putting Ghee(your actions) in fire(lust) it keeps getting stronger and stronger.
My perspective of this Slok for Masturbation and Porn addiction-
As Students indulge in masturbation and watching porn to satisfy their senses. But they are unaware of the Enemy Called “Lust/Desires” which can never be satisfied. E.g.- When we keep putting Ghee into Fire it keeps getting Stronger than before and it never gets satisfied so lust is like a fire. Any amount of action we put in to satisfy it but we can not. It only demands more and more. So, the same thing happens when we masturbate and watch porn. We keep coming back repeatedly with more lustful ideas in our brains to satisfy this demon.
It covers the student’s Intelligence and emotions to commit or do wrong things which affect their studies, health, relationships, and overall Life. It is essential to be alert from the beginning so a lot of time can be saved and put in the right direction.
Lust/Desire is not only about Sex but includes everything we do for a sense of gratification. Through our Five bodily senses and also our Sixth sense called the Mind. E.g.- Eating unhealthy food to satisfy our taste buds, attachment to success or failure, doing unnecessary expenditure on buying expensive branded items, Comparison with others, etc.
It’s a never-ending process we need to set clear boundaries between our needs and wants.
The task for Everyone-
To write your perspective of life through this Slok and What do you understand?
Thanks,
Kapil
